PRESS RELEASE:

Caleb Kortokrax is an oil painter and educator based in Baltimore, MD. Caleb's meticulously rendered imagery, often deceptively mundane, is evidence of his devotion to the craft of painting and willingness to document the world around him. In recent works, he has begun to examine the tension between realism and abstraction in visual narrative. He had a solo show in 2017 at Stevenson University and has been featured in group exhibitions at Towson University, Creative Paradox, and the Brauer Museum of Art in Valparaiso, IN. He received his MFA in Painting from MICA in 2014 and his BSFA in Painting and K-12 Education from Valparaiso University in 2011. He is currently an adjunct faculty member at Stevenson University, MICA, Towson University, and Anne Arundel Community College. You may view Caleb's portfolio at www.calebkortokrax.com.
